Chap-books were small publications cheaply printed as a form of street literature. They were one of the only sources of reading material available for the poorer classes, and were often read aloud to audiences. Titles mentioned include Robin Hood, Reynard the Fox and Valentine and Orson. In the original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, very smart with some shelf wear to the edges and bumping to the spine. A few light marks to the boards. Hinges starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound.
